Hello there! My name is Sydney Fox, a current student at Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in Interior Design, minoring in Business Administration, and in the Masters of Architecture program. I am fortunate enough to be learning the digital and hands-on skills needed for my dream career of being an interior designer. I am originally from Southern Maine, where I grew up with my mother and my older brother Emerson. My passions outside of school are playing sports such as soccer, creating artwork, listening to music, exploring new places, being outdoors, and socializing with friends.

Why interior design? Well for me I believe I have what it takes to learn and become talented in this field, but I want to test the limits of design and be able to reach my goals in life. I love that interior design combines the concept of design, art, and creativity with functional everyday living. The idea that people could be walking through or even living in a space that I design inspires me to one day be able to do just that. The transformations that come along with the process of interior design amaze me and show me how much potential places can hold. It takes true passion and dedication to create such transformations and I want to experience this process as a designer.

I’ve always wanted to change the world positively, and with my designs, I want to change clients' lives for the better. To give families their perfect home, business owners a functional shop, and other clients the space they envisioned, is what I want to live for. I know being an interior designer can be tough and stressful, but the results it can bring are worth it.
